Two potential residents of Alga SEZ defended their business plans

Potential residents of the "Alga" SEZ (special economic zone) - the companies "Zasport" and "Azimut" have defended their business plans, the press service of the Government of Bashkiria reported. In total, the companies are investing almost 1 billion rubles in new production facilities.
The general director of "Zasport" Evgeny Romanov, presented an automated garment factory project for sportswear production. It will compete with such famous brands as Adidas, Reebok, Nike, Columbia, and Bosco Sport. The first production is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022. The investor will spend about 430 million rubles on the project and create 289 jobs.
Dmitry Arkhipov, general director of the Azimut road marking plant, defended the project to construct an innovative plant to produce road paint based on organic solvent and cold plastic. The enterprise plans to produce high-quality paints and plastics with no analogs in Russia and the CIS countries. The volume of investments is more than 500 million rubles, new jobs - about 40.
Until 2025, the Zasport brand has been selected as a supplier of sports equipment for the Russian Olympic team. This opens up quite wide opportunities for promoting these products.
The second project is aimed at improving road safety. This year, almost 10 thousand km of road markings have been drawn on the republic's roads. At the same time, the share of roads with asphalt concrete pavement is constantly growing. Therefore, such a production facility will come in handy," said First Deputy Prime Minister Ilshat Tazhitdinov.
Shortly, the companies will sign tripartite agreements with the government of Bashkiria and the Development Corporation, securing their status as residents of a special economic zone and mutual obligations of the parties. After receiving these agreements, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia will include companies in the register and issue certificates to residents confirming their status, entitling them to benefits.
Four companies have already become residents of the Alga SEZ: Arkada (sewing work clothes), M Sintez (production of additives for diesel fuel), Zur (LED lamps), DoGa (technology of processing hydrocarbon gases into aromatic hydrocarbons). The volume of investments in these projects will amount to about 9 billion rubles, and almost 1,100 new jobs will be created.
In the long term, the special economic zone's investment portfolio is estimated at 100 billion rubles, creating almost 4,000 new jobs. In turn, the republican authorities are investing 6.3 billion rubles in constructing the SEZ infrastructure until 2024.
