Ufa will host the International Business Week 2020 (MNB) in a hybrid online and offline format from December 8 to 11, 2020. Within the framework of the event, several forums will be held on separate blocks of economic development, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin and the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Zarina Doguzova. The details of the upcoming large-scale forum were discussed on December 2 at a press conference in TASS.
Also, the International Business Week will be attended by the CEO of the official service company Alibaba.com Boris Neiman and CEO of the Association of European Businesses Tadzio Schilling.
Andrei Nazarov, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, added that four days of the forum would be devoted to discussing small and medium-sized businesses in the SCO and BRICS countries' regions, the development of entrepreneurship in Russia, tourism, economy, and export.
"First of all, I would like to note the initiative of Bashkortostan, as part of which the next meeting in the format of the SCO and BRICS countries will take place. Based on my experience of participation in such events, I can say that the republic's leadership efforts are effective, useful and in demand. Moreover, they receive a worthy return," said Bakhtiyor Khakimov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
He added that this year the Russian Federation chaired the SCO and BRICS.
"One of our work results in the SCO format was creating the Forum of Heads of Regions. I see natural opportunities for extrapolating the situation of those decisions that were in the format of the Forum of Heads of Regions to the platform that was announced in Ufa in December," said Bakhtiyor Khakimov.
In 2021, the chairmanship of the SCO Business Council will pass to Tajikistan, and the International Business Week is very relevant for strengthening regional cooperation and dialogue between the SCO and BRICS member states: this has the potential for interaction between regions and the possibility of finding new solutions for business.
"Bashkortostan has become a center of attraction for regional cooperation. We already have experience of previous events, when partners found their counterparties at the Ufa forum venues, which they did not know about before. There are specific, implemented projects. The whole forum is a very substantive, very pragmatic experience, with bright speeches and demanded speakers. And the most important thing is working-level sessions", said the Executive Secretary of the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Sergey Kanavsky.
Vladislav Onishchenko, President of the Center for Strategic Research Foundation, believes that "the development of new and important industries for the republic - export, and tourism, which were not of such great importance before - is symbolic. It seems that such forums are timely, and the format itself is effective and will be preserved in the future," said Vladislav Onishchenko.
According to Max Innovation Capital CEO, Liu Xin, the company is interested in cooperation mechanisms of commercial, scientific, and educational organizations.
The business program of the "International Business Week 2020" is designed for four days and will be devoted to small and medium-sized businesses in the regions of the SCO and BRICS countries, entrepreneurship in Russia, tourism, economy, and export.
All users will be able to follow the event online; registration is available on the official wesite.
