Radiy Khabirov called to support Bashkiria brands in "Tastes of Russia" contest

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, urged residents of the republic to support republican brands in the "Tastes of Russia" contest. The national competition "Tastes of Russia" is being held for the first time. 26 brands of the republic participate in eight nominations. These are producers of honey, koumiss, mineral water, balsams, and other products, Deputy Prime Minister Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said today at a government briefing session. Bashkortostan holds first place in terms of the number of applications, ahead of the Moscow region and Tatarstan. There are two days left until the end of the popular vote in the first national competition of regional food brands "Tastes of Russia".
To date, over 780 thousand votes have already been cast for their favorite products throughout Russia, of which more than 40 thousand for Bashkir brands.
Today Dagestan mutton is the leader among brands - 40 thousand votes, Buryat buuz - 34 thousand votes. 10.5 thousand votes were given for Bashkir honey.
"We should help our brands. There are only two days left until the end of voting, and I urge all residents of the republic to support their producers," said Radiy Khabirov.
The mission of the "Tastes of Russia" contest is to acquaint consumers with a variety of tastes in Russia and show the potential to develop regional food brands. According to the results of the contest, the finalists will be determined in 8 nominations.
From November 19 to December 2, the popular vote is held, during which every resident of Russia will be able to support their favorite product and their region on the contest website.
As a result of the contest, a group of experts and the Russian Agriculture Ministry will form a large-scale map of Russia's tastes and launch a program of comprehensive support and promotion of unique domestic food products, which will create new growth drivers for the agro-industrial complex.
