Up to 80% in construction: quotas for foreign workers have been determined in Russia

The Russian Government has determined the permissible shares of foreign workers in 2021. As explained by the State Labor Inspectorate, it is impossible to hire foreigners to work in pharmacies, markets, and non-stationary shopping facilities.

The share of foreigners should not exceed 15% of the total staff in specialized retail stores selling alcohol and tobacco products.

The share of foreign labor can be 50% in forestry, logging, and growing vegetables, in construction - 80%.

The permissible share of foreign workers in passenger and cargo transportation has been reduced - from 26% this year to 24%.
