Japan plans to buy raw propolis in Bashkortostan

Japanese enterprises are ready to purchase raw propolis in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations of the region reported this.

Japan is now in search of propolis suppliers, according to Aleksey Karaivanov, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Japan. He offered to provide support to Bashkir manufacturers in this matter.

Margarita Bolycheva, Chairperson of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities, noted that close ties had been established with Japan.

“The Japanese hold the record for the consumption of honey in confectionery, and there is also a huge demand for propolis in the country. Our republic is a world-famous honey region and is open to cooperation with Japanese partners,” said Margarita Bolycheva.

Aleksey Karaivanov noted that the most promising directions for export to Japan would be highly processed metals, IT, medical, food, and agricultural products.

Earlier it was reported that Japan was interested in edible spoons from Bashkiria. The spoons are made from spicy or sweet dough, reduce plastic use, and are a tasty addition to various dishes. Besides, they can be used as a souvenir. They are also sugar, gluten, and animal fat free.

The State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations recalled that Bashkir producers wishing to enter the international market could contact the Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
