Beer producers are exempted from property tax in Bashkiria

The deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan, at their plenary session, adopted a law exempting beer and beverage producers from property tax for the period from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023. The benefits stipulated by the law will lead to a decrease in revenues to the consolidated budget of the republic from the corporate property tax in 2020-2023 by 30 million rubles annually. Losses will be compensated to a much greater extent by receipts of excise taxes.

Beer producers will be able to take advantage of this privilege only if the number of jobs remains at least 90% of the previous year's level. The level of wages should be not lower than the average monthly gross wages in general for enterprises of this type of activity (OKVED 11.0 "Beverage production"). According to the speaker of the republican parliament, the law will support both the brewing industry itself and related areas: agriculture, glass, aluminum, terephthalic acid production.

We will remind, the deputies have already provided similar benefits to beer producers. The republic has already had a similar experience in granting benefits to breweries.

Konstantin Tolkachev noted that beer produced in the republic was supplied mainly to other regions. Only a small part is sold in the territory of Bashkortostan. Thus, the law will not negatively affect the consumption of this drink by the residents of the republic.
