Russia will introduce new driver's licenses

Driver's licenses and vehicle certificates of title will change in Russia.

The changes suggest that a license will include the inscription "Voditelskoe Udostoverenie" in three languages, including Permis de conduire, Driving License, the "Autostat" agency reports.

It will be located at the top of the front page.

The vehicle certificate of title will display data on the number of seats in the car, as well as data on the technically permissible weight of the car and previously carried out checks.

The vehicle registration certificate will be supplemented with information on engine horsepower, as well as customs restrictions.

As of July 1, 2020, the Russian Federation's passenger car park amounted to 44.6 million units. Moreover, the average age of all passenger cars registered in our country is about 14 years. According to the "Avtostat" agency experts, this figure is lower for foreign cars - 11.6 years, the age of domestic cars is 17 years on average.

Among the cars of foreign brands, the "youngest" car fleet is among Chinese vehicles (8 years), it is slightly higher among Korean cars (8.2 years). The average age of European cars is already 11 years. American cars have this figure of about 12 years. The oldest among foreign cars are Japanese; their age reaches 14 years.
