Real wages increased by 1% in Bashkiria over year

The average monthly nominal salary in Bashkiria, accrued to organizations' employees for the nine months of this year, exceeded 37,423 rubles. It is 4.4 percent more than in January-September 2019, the statisticians of the republic reported.

At the same time, real wages increased by 1.1 percent during this time in the region.

According to the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, in January 2020, Bashkiria's average salary was 35,783 rubles. In September, it reached 38 358 rubles in the region, in general, according to the results of the third quarter - 38 165 rubles.

The real wage index is calculated to characterize the change in wages' purchasing power due to changes in prices for consumer goods and services.
