"Mratkino" family resort will be developed in Bashkiria

The all-season family resort of federal significance, "Mratkino," may receive support from the national budget. This facility can become one of the four largest ski resorts in Russia in terms of its scale, quality of development, and the second in the country in terms of the length of tracks, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, posted on his social media after a meeting with the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Zarina Doguzova.
"The republic is in good standing, and our work is highly appreciated in Rosturizm. This year, the Yangan-Tau Geopark was the first in Russia and the post-Soviet space to be included in the list of UNESCO Global Geoparks. Now we are actively working on adding the Toratau Geopark to the UNESCO Network. The tasks also include creating tourist and recreational clusters "Heart of Bashkiria", which became the winner of the All-Russian competition of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and "Mighty Iremel".
Radiy Khabirov told his followers that this year the natural attractions of Bashkortostan were in great demand.
"The flow in the republic has noticeably increased due to independent tourism and amounted to more than 2 million people in the summer season, which is three times higher than for the same period in 2019. We plan to increase this figure to 3.5 million people by 2024. Now it is important not to stop at what has been achieved, but to continue our work on making Bashkortostan one of the most attractive regions for tourists," Radiy Khabirov wrote.
