Representative office of Bashkiria will appear in Kazakhstan

A representative office of Bashkortostan is reopened in the capital of Kazakhstan, the city of Nur-Sultan. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov announced its establishment during a meeting with the official delegation of Kazakhstan.
As a reminder, the representative office in Astana was closed on April 1, 2016. Last year, the country's Secretary of State Krymbek Kusherbayev proposed to resume the Bashkortostan office's work in Kazakhstan.
Note that in March 2020, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bulat Asadullin began work in Ufa.
"After completing all the formal procedures for opening a Bashkortostan's office in Nur-Sultan, and taking into account the situation around the coronavirus, we plan to come with a working trip to Kazakhstan," Radiy Khabirov said at the meeting.
The parties discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation in industry, economy, education, and culture. Radiy Khabirov noted that Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan had long-term friendly relations.
The republics actively interact in various areas of the economy and social sphere. There are 37 enterprises created with the participation of capital from Kazakhstan in the territory of Bashkortostan. One of the Kazakh companies plans to organize polypropylene yarn and polyethylene mesh production with an investment of 1.4 billion rubles in the "Alga" special economic zone in the Ishimbaysky district.
Radiy Khabirov invited Kazakh business circles to participate in the International Business Week in December 2020 and invited Kazakhstan to become a participant in the World Folkloriada in 2021.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Ermek Kosherbayev noted that contacts between the countries had always been and remained very close, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
"Bashkortostan occupies a significant place in our system of interregional cooperation", the Ambassador stressed. "The trade balance is quite large, and here we see a good basis for increasing it. We are very pleased that Kazakhstan enterprises are working in the "Alga" special economic zone".
At the end of 2019, Kazakhstan ranks fourth in Bashkortostan's foreign trade turnover with a share of 7.9 percent, among the CIS countries - the second place with a specific weight of 34.2 percent. Mutual trade amounted to $ 361.6 million.
