Bashkiria plans to increase exports to South Korea

Bashkiria intends to increase the volume of exports to the Republic of Korea at the expense of timber and machine-building equipment, the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB Margarita Bolycheva said at the "Trade Representative" session.

As Bolycheva emphasized at the meeting, Bashkiria has great potential for increasing the volume of export supplies to the Republic of Korea.

"We are talking about timber, engineering equipment, in particular, turbojet and turboprop engines, raw aluminum and vinyl chloride polymers," she said.

Meanwhile, in January-August 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Bashkiria and the Republic of Korea reached $ 5.5 million, while the share of exports amounted to $ 2.7 million.

In turn, the trade representative of Russia in the Republic of Korea, Alexander Masaltsev, spoke about the mechanism for Bashkir manufacturers and service providers' entry into the South Korean market and rational ways of transporting goods from Russia.

According to him, the most promising directions for export are also the agricultural industry (grain and fodder crops), oil products, bitumen, and bitumen materials.

In addition to representatives of the State Committee of Bashkiria for Foreign Economic Relations, heads of 16 republican enterprises exporting to South Korea also took part in the Hour with the Trade Representative.
