Average salary increased by 4.2% in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the average monthly wage accrued to organizations' employees in January-August 2020 amounted to 37,307 rubles. 40 kopecks, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports. Compared to the previous period, the average salary increased by 4.2%.

In January 2020, the region's average salary was 35,783 rubles, in July - 38,271 rubles, in August - 37,854 rubles.

The number of workers aged 15 and over was 1.927 million people: 1,805,300 employed and 121,700 officially unemployed (according to the ILO criteria, who did not have a profitable occupation at the time of the survey, they were seeking for a job and were ready to start it in the surveyed week).

The bulk of the employees are concentrated in organizations (government agencies, large enterprises) - 1,063,900 people. Their number decreased by only 0.8%:
