Kumertau PDA to start production of Ka-26 helicopters
By the end of 2020, the "Aviatory Bashkirii" research and production enterprise plans to become a new resident of Kumertau priority development area (PDA).
This enterprise's investment project involves the Ka-26 helicopters' repair and resumption of production, said Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria.
"The volume of investments in the project will amount to 600 million rubles. The planned number of jobs is 50. Now the investor is carrying out design and exploration work, and a package of documents is being formed to attract loan financing from the "Monocities Development Fund", said Rustam Muratov.
Since the beginning of this year, four companies have become residents of the Kumertau PDA, and 248 new jobs have been created. The total volume of investments for the three quarters have reached about 570 million rubles.
It is planned that by the end of the year, another three or four enterprises will receive the status of residents of the Kumertau PDA. Investors intend to spend more than 1 billion rubles in new production facilities, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkiria added.
Kumertau received PDA status in December 2016. It belongs to the first category of single-industry towns with the most challenging socio-economic situation.
To date, 27 residents are registered at the Kumertau PDA, 1346 jobs are created. The total revenue was RUB 33 billion.
As the Bashinform News Agency reported in September, a manufacturer of denim clothes from Krasnodar transferred its production to Kumertau PDA.
The priority development area's status ensures the functioning of a special legal regime for entrepreneurial activity, providing preferences to organizations - residents of the PDA in terms of exemption from property tax, reduction of income tax, and insurance payment rates.
One of the largest residents of Kumertau PDA is a new oil extraction plant, where about 500 people are employed. At the end of 2019, the cost of its products shipped at 1.7 times exceeded the indicators of Kumertau Helicopter Plant KumAPP.
Six municipalities of Belebey, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Uchaly are currently recognized as single-industry towns in Bashkiria. 65 organizations are included in the register of PDA residents RB.
More than 400 thousand people live in these territories or about 10% of the republic's total population. Almost 10% of the region's industrial production is formed here.
