Moncler fashion house began to use raw materials imported from Bashkiria

The Italian clothing brand Moncler uses raw materials made by Bashkiria manufacturers. The Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov spoke about the role of the republic in the fashion industry and the volume of exports.

The world-famous Fashion House uses down and feathers, which Bashkir manufacturers supply to the Italian company to produce down jackets and sportswear.

The "AgroBasis" cooperative farm exports a semi-finished product of goose, duck, feather, and down raw materials to Italy. Raw materials are disinfected with a stream of steam at temperatures above 120 degrees for 60 minutes. They are then sent to Italy, where companies, including Moncler, use the raw materials, for sewing down jackets, the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations informs.

The Head of the Region said that in general, since the beginning of the year, the value of export deliveries of products manufactured in Bashkiria has reached $ 1.9 billion. The geography of supplies includes over 100 countries of the world. This year, the republic, for the first time, sent goods to Benin, Ghana, Honduras, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Suriname, and Uruguay. Most of the exports are honey, petroleum products, and chemical products.

“However, there are also novelties. For example, the global automakers BMW and Mercedes use carbon black in Germany, which we produce in Bashkortostan. The Siemens company works on machines supplied by our republican enterprise,” Radiy Khabirov said.

The Head of the Republic noted that there were 911 exporters in the region by the end of last year. They plan to increase their number to 1,400 by 2024.
