Experts tell how to keep savings and when ruble will strengthen

Sberbank CEO German Gref expects the ruble to strengthen by the end of this year. He stated this in an interview for the Nailya Asker-zade film "Dangerous Virus. Rescue plan" on the channel "Russia 1".
"Fundamentally, the exchange rate is greatly underestimated today, and if geopolitical factors stabilize and the situation with the coronavirus becomes more or less stable and understandable, then I think the ruble will strengthen by the end of the year," German Gref said.
In his opinion, the Russian economy will fully recover in 2022.
Meanwhile, the head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, advises Russians to distribute savings between various assets and keep some of them in foreign currency.
This option is the most optimal if these funds are not be spent for the next year and a half, he explains.
If the savings are quite small and are to be spent, they can be left in Russian currency.
As the Bashinform News Agency reported, the Bank of Russia has kept its key rate at 4.25% per annum for the second time in a row.
As noted by the regulator, inflation is developing under the Bank of Russia's forecast, and by the end of this year, is expected to be in the range of 3.9-4.2%.
Next year, experts predict a recovery growth of the Russian economy by 3-4%.
According to forecasts, in 2022-2023, GDP will grow by 2.5-3.5 and 2-3%, respectively.
