Subsidies for Bashkir exporters reached 215 million rubles

Subsidizing Bashkiria exporting enterprises' costs reached 215 million rubles this year, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov stated at an all-Russian meeting dedicated to the export standard implementation.
Exporters are supported by the current Regional Export Standard 2.0 program developed by the Russian Export Center (REC).
"Bashkortostan annually increases export volumes, and our main task is to attract major partners and investments. This will make the republic famous all over the world," Rustam Muratov said. "One of the key state support measures for our exporters is a subsidy to reimburse part of transport costs. More than 40 companies have already used it since last year. The 40 million rubles reimbursed to them supported the export supplies of enterprises for 1.2 billion rubles and expanded the geography of exports to 13 countries."
Today, the top ten counterparty countries of Bashkortostan include China, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Malta, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, India and Uzbekistan. For eight months of this year, the volume of exports amounted to $ 1.9235 billion.
As Rustam Muratov noted at the meeting, to stabilize the regional economy, Bashkortostan's leadership decided to continue the program to reimburse part of transport costs in 2020, increasing the expenditures to 165 million rubles.
Bashkortostan is one of the pilot regions that took part in the project to implement the Regional Export Standard 2.0 program.
At the moment, there are three programs of financial support for exporters in the republic. Thus, this year, 165 million rubles were allocated to reimburse part of the costs of transporting goods abroad. 20 million rubles were channeled to reimburse part of the costs for international product certification, 30 million rubles - for "export cashback".
Besides, the "Made in Bashkortostan" project is being successfully implemented.
"Another area of export development in the region is "Prompt Export Aid". The project involves identifying potential exporters to ensure republican exports to the markets of foreign countries and diversifying exports," the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkortostan added.
The Regional Export Standard 2.0 program aims to assist regions that plan to increase their export volumes.
It includes five blocks and 15 instruments to support export activities in the constituent entities.
In addition to Bashkortostan, ten more regions were included in the number of pilot regions in 2019: Smolensk, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Sverdlovsk regions, Perm, Primorye, Stavropol Territories, and Tatarstan.
