Bashkiria farmers are invited to participate in "Tastes of Russia" national competition

The first national competition of regional food brands "Tastes of Russia" has started in Russia. The competition will be the first stage of a whole range of measures to support farm products. The competition's mission is to familiarize consumers with a variety of tastes in Russia and the development potential of regional food brands.

Applications from participants will be accepted until November 9, 2020. The organizers will evaluate the presented products in eight nominations.

In December, the expert group will select the most promising regional brands for their further large-scale promotion. All details are available on the competition website.

The potential for the development of branding in Bashkortostan is very high - both in terms of national traditions and in its features. The following are considered as republican brands: Bashkir goose, Bashkir cheese, Bashkir kazylyk (horse sausage), Bashkir kumis (mare's milk).

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov during the discussion panel "Diversity of Russian tastes: promotion and support of regional food brands" at the 22nd Russian agro-industrial business forum exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2020" said that Bashkiria would develop regional brands through agricultural cooperation development.
