Plant for 217 million rubles to be built at "Blagoveshchensk" PDA

It is planned to build a plant to produce industrial pumps and equipment for handling bulk materials in the territory of the "Blagoveshchensk" priority development area (PDA). This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria.

The new investment project provides for the creation of over 100 new jobs.

"The project will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the social and economic sphere of both the single-industry town of Blagoveshchensk and the republic as a whole. The volume of investments will exceed 217 million rubles", the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria Yekaterina Klikunova noted.

To date, seven residents are registered at the "Blagoveshchensk" PDA with a total planned investment of 1.8 billion rubles and the creation of over 400 new jobs.

Five companies with a total planned investment of 905.8 million rubles and the creation of 354 jobs became residents of this priority development area from January to October this year.

In total, 65 organizations are included in the register of PDAs residents in Bashkiria.

As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, six municipalities of Bashkiria - Belebey, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Uchaly, are recognized as single-industry towns.

The total number of these towns' residents exceeds 400 thousand people, which is almost 10% of the republic's total population.

About 10% of the industrial production of the region is formed here.

"An application has also been submitted to include the city of Sibay in the list of single-industry municipalities," the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkiria added. "The PDA creation is an effective mechanism for increasing the investment attractiveness of the region. In such territories, a preferential regime for carrying out entrepreneurial activities is applied legally".
