Bashkortostan intends to strengthen trade partnership with Turkey
Bashkortostan and Turkey intend to strengthen foreign economic ties, said the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov in an interview with the Turkish business newspaper Dünya.
According to Radiy Khabirov, the priority directions for developing the trade partnership are exporting chemical and petrochemical products, timber, metal products, and agricultural and halal products.
Today Turkey is the tenth partner of Bashkortostan in foreign economic activity with a share of 2.8%.
Thus, Bashkortostan's foreign trade turnover with the Republic of Turkey exceeded $ 140 million last year. Of these, 135.8 million dollars were exports.
In the first seven months of 2020, foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 64.1 million, of which $ 58.1 million was exports.
Besides, Radiy Khabirov told the newspaper about Turkish investors' activity in Bashkortostan, focusing on the possibilities of preferential terms for the use of public spaces, lease of land plots, and potential tax benefits.
