In Bashkiria, the industrial production index (IPP) amounted to 96.5% in January-September, with Russia's average - 97.1%. The data was announced at a briefing session in the government. According to the Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev, in 2019, the Bashkir industry grew by 4.2% (against + 2.4% of the all-Russian), and in the first quarter of 2020, it also added 1.7%.
In addition to the pandemic, the indicator was negatively affected by the OPEC agreement factors to reduce oil production: in the region, oil and associated gas production was 45.8% in September 2020 - more than two times lower than a year earlier.
In the commodity sector, the IPP fell to 76.6% for nine months.
The production of petroleum products and coke, the share of which in the volume of shipments is 39.3% in the current year, and in the industrial structure - 29.3%, decreased in January-September to 88.7%, which affected the index of 97% for the entire processing industries sector.
Growth has been observed in 14 of the 29 core businesses. IPP grew in chemical production, metallurgy, vehicles, medicines, clothing, and electrical equipment above 113%.
Mining of metal ores, the service sector in the extraction of minerals, rubber and plastic products, food and beverages, the repair and installation of machinery and equipment showed moderate growth - by 0.3 - 8.4%.
The planned indicators are still should be achieved, the minister said. By the end of the year, the industrial production index should reach 100.1%. Measures will be taken to implement this plan. The "growth point" is defined as the manufacturing sector, which provides high added value.
