Clothing production in Bashkiria light industry increased by 13% for 9 months of 2020

In Bashkortostan, for 9 months of 2020, the industrial production index was 92.9 percent in textile, 62.9 percent - in leather and leather products, 113 percent – in clothing. The total volume of republican support for light industry enterprises has reached almost 150 million rubles. In particular, 46 companies received compensation for part of the cost of purchasing raw materials and materials, 26 enterprises, to purchase technological equipment. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, many republican manufacturers have reoriented their activities to the production of personal protective equipment - medical masks and suits - and are working in close cooperation with healthcare organizations in Bashkortostan. Minister of Industry and Energy RB Alexander Sheldyaev reported it at an "Investment Hour" session.

"Our main task is to help you get through this incredibly difficult period. However, I ask you to keep in mind that in a year or two, we will begin to stimulate, first of all, those industries that conduct an active competition policy, expand their market share," said the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov. "By the end of 2020, industrial production of the coronavirus vaccine should begin in Russia. Hopefully, next year we will move to the widespread use of it, and the infection will recede. Thus, you should think about diversifying production right now. At some point, we will reduce the volume of purchases of protective equipment - masks and suits. Please, start forming strategic development plans."
