Agro-industrial complex and construction sector showed growth in Bashkiria

At the end of 2019, the economy of Bashkortostan outpaced the national average. The industrial production index in 2019 in the republic exceeded 104.2%, and the national average was 102.4%. In construction, the republic showed growth in 2019 by 7% higher than the national average. In agriculture, a decline in 2020 is not expected - we will show 101.3%, with an increase in subsequent periods to 103%. Moreover, the processing of agricultural products should become the driver of the agricultural industry. The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov reported this in his speech at a meeting dedicated to the republic's strategic development.
"The basis for our government work was the decree of the Head of Bashkortostan "On strategic directions of socio-economic development of Bashkortostan Republic until 2024". The events of 2020 related to the pandemic and the fall in global oil prices make adjustments to the state programs. However, we understand that the momentum we have gained over the past year in the republic allows us not to lower the bar, and in some cases, even to revise it upwards", said Andrey Nazarov.
"The agricultural leasing system has shown its effectiveness. All the obligations taken to rural residents to reimburse part of the costs of purchasing agricultural machinery and equipment will be fulfilled in full," the Head of Bashkortostan said.
Radiy Khabirov instructed to make adjustments to the strategic indicators of the republic's development, taking into account the economy's current situation. At the same time, the indicators of fast-developing industries can be changed upward.
