Car loans number decreased in Russia

The number of car loans issued in September turned out to be three percent lower than September of the previous year in units, but eight percent higher in terms of the volume of funds issued in rubles.

Such an assessment of the market is reported by the "AUTOSTAT" agency based on information from 20 leading auto loan banks.

Used car loans continue to show a positive trend: the growth from September to September amounted to 7% in units and 22% in rubles.

Simultaneously, the share of used car loans amounted to 29% of all car loans and 20% in rubles.

The average loan amount for a new car increased by 12% for a used car - by 13.5%. The prices of used cars increased more than new cars, and the structure of lending shifted towards more expensive cars.

According to the agency, the average age of a used car sold on a loan is six years, while the average age of a used car on the market is 11 years.
