Passenger traffic decreased by 23% on Kuibyshev railway in September

In September, passenger traffic on the Kuibyshev railway (passes through the regions of the Volga Federal District and the Central Federal District) decreased by 23.1% compared to September 2019. According to the Bashkir branch's press service, 1.3 million people were transported in just a month, of which 987.6 thousand passengers of commuter trains (-19.1%) and 283.5 thousand passengers of long-distance trains (-34.3 %).

In total, in January-September 2020, 10.2 million passengers used the railway services (-29.2% compared to January-September 2019), of which 2.4 million passengers (-41.6%) used long-distance trains, 7.8 million people - commuter trains (-24.3%).
