Bashkiria and Bashneft signed investment agreement to modernize Ufa refinery

Today the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov visited the Ufa oil refining complex. Khasan Tatriev, General Director of Bashneft, spoke about the company's production activities and investment projects.

An investment agreement was signed between the region and an oil company for the construction of a backup process line for an elemental sulfur production unit at the Bashneft branch of PJSOC Bashneft - Bashneft-UNPZ. The commissioning of the facility will increase the volume of utilization of hydrogen sulfide-containing gas generated at the production facilities of the Bashneft-UNPZ branch after the production of high-quality motor fuels of Euro-5 and Euro-6 with a reduced content of sulfur and other harmful substances. This will reduce the negative impact on the atmospheric air of production units of the oil refining complex.

Under the terms of the investment agreement, Bashneft undertakes to finance the project and create additional jobs at the new production facility. The construction of the processing line is scheduled for completion in May 2023.
