Ten schools in Ufa are planned to be built on public-private partnership scheme

In Ufa, it is planned to build ten new schools for more than 13 thousand children on the principles of a public-private partnership with the assistance of the state corporation VEB.RF. Capital grants for the facilities will be allocated from the federal and republican budgets, as well as extra-budgetary sources.
Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov at the "Investment Hour" session said that sites for new construction in Ufa had already been selected to participate in the program.
Oleg Govorun, Deputy Chairman of the VEB.RF state corporation said that the Russian Finance Ministry had approved the proposed program, and the draft final document would be ready by the end of 2020.
"I would like to note that Bashkortostan is the leader among the regions of Russia in terms of involvement in the project. Thank you for your active position and productive joint work," said Oleg Govorun.
The Head of Bashkortostan positively assessed the possibilities of the program for the development of educational infrastructure.
"Our position is simple: the funds required for the construction of schools are difficult to allocate right away. At the same time, the objects themselves are very much needed by our residents. Therefore, the mechanisms offered by VEB.RF are undoubtedly interesting for the republic," said Radiy Khabirov.
According to experts, the construction of educational institutions through a public-private partnership (PPP) system will reduce the initial funding from the state to 40%.
