Production index in agriculture increased by 6% in Bashkiria

According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, the industrial production index of the agro-industrial complex of Bashkiria in January-August increased by 6.1% compared to January-August last year. Production in crop production increased by 15%, in animal husbandry - by 2%. Russia's agriculture grew by 4% on average.

The regional Ministry of Agriculture explained that the growth was provided by an increase in grain production by 46.8%, milk by 1.3%, meat by 11.8%.

In animal husbandry, the increase in milk and meat production is ensured by the implementation and launch of large investment projects.

Good grain harvest was obtained due to the favorable conditions of spring and summer, more intensive use of fertilizers – by 22% more than last year. Also, the share of sowing with elite seeds increased by 3%.

The republican index of industrial production in January-August fell by 3.3%.
