Bashkiria delivered 4 thousand tons of barley to Jordan by water

Four thousand tons of barley produced in the farms of Bashkortostan were shipped to Jordan and delivered by water from the berth of LLC Ilishevsky Elevator. This is the only enterprise in the region capable of dispatching heavy-duty vessels, including directly to foreign countries. The elevator has the necessary infrastructure (berth and loading capacity) and can ship up to 100 thousand tons of grain per season by water.

Recall that the authorities decided to assist the enterprise in organizing the transportation of grain directly for export to Iran, Turkey, the Baltic countries of the republic at the “Investment Hour” session in May 2019. In the summer of this year, dredging works were carried out on a 20-kilometer section of the Belaya River from the village of Azyakul, Aktanysh district of Tatarstan to the village of Gruzdevka, Ilishevsky district of Bashkortostan.

“The structure of agricultural products export from the republic has seriously changed in recent years. If earlier grain crops occupied the most part, now half is accounted for fat and oil products. The share of grain in exports today is slightly more than 13 percent, ”explained Almaz Galimov, head of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB.
