We estimate damage from BSC privatization at tens of billion rubles - Khabirov

The losses from the privatization of Bashkir Soda Company (BSC) is estimated, according to preliminary calculations, at several tens of billion rubles. This was announced on the air of the Russia-24 TV channel by the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov.

According to him, a special legal counseling group has been organized under the government of the republic, which studies the essence of transactions. Besides, a statement has already been sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Bashkiria about causing damage to the republic's budget.

The controlling stake in the enterprise belongs to several individuals (the beneficiaries were Dmitry Pyatkin, Albert Kharisov, Viktor Islamov, Sergei Chernikov), the profits were transferred to offshore companies, and practically nothing was invested in the development of the enterprise.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the story is developing so far. The enterprise was offered civilized ways to solve the problem, however, after it became known about the ban on the Kushtau development, there were reports of possible job cuts in the BSC team.

“The conflict around the Shikhan Kushtau ended due to the solidarity support of the inhabitants of Bashkiria, who strongly opposed the Shikhan exploitation. Then it became clear that the mountain cannot be used as a raw material base,” said Radiy Khabirov.

Let us remind you that Vladimir Putin instructed the Prosecutor General's Office to check the legality of the company’s privatization transaction.
