All street lighting was completely replaced in Sterlitamak
All street lamps were replaced in the city of Sterlitamak over the summer. Now the city's courtyards and roads are illuminated by energy efficient LED lamps. In total, about 16 thousand sodium street lamps have been replaced with LED lamps in the city this year. The replacement was carried out both on the highways of the road network and in the yards. New light fixtures have a guarantee for 7 years. Replacing the lamps made it possible to reduce power consumption and at the same time increase illumination by 15-20%. In accordance with the contract, the power supply company pledged to achieve a reduction of at least 63% from consumption in 2018.
“This is an ambitious project, and even now we can say that it has significantly reduced energy consumption. At the end of 6 months, the difference in energy consumption compared to the previous year was more than 300 thousand kWh. At the same time, the illumination of the city fully complies with all the established requirements,” said Vladimir Kulikov, head of the Sterlitamak administration.
