60% of Bashkiria's exports are non-oil and gas

For the first half of 2020, the volume of non-oil and gas exports of Bashkiria reached $ 912.8 million, the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB reported, citing data from the analytical portal of the Russian Export Center.
The share of non-oil and gas exports in the total export volume amounted to almost 60%.
For comparison: in Russia as a whole, this figure is 43.1%, in the Volga Federal District - 58.1%.
"The main growth in Bashkiria was shown by agricultural products - sunflower oil, sugar, and barley. Export deliveries of chemical industry products also increased: polyvinyl chloride, phenols, and polished glass," the press service of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations stated. Since the beginning of this year, the republic's commercial products have expanded with supplies of butylene and its isomers, cumene, rapeseed, distributors, ignition coils, and concrete mixers.
Bashkir enterprises mainly export their products to China, Kazakhstan, Finland, India, and Belarus.
Besides, the volume of exports to Uzbekistan, Latvia, Turkmenistan, Mexico, and Belgium is growing.
Experts mark Honduras, Uruguay, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar among Bashkiria's new partners in non-oil and gas exports.
One of the main goals of the "International Cooperation and Export" national project, developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is to increase the volume of this particular type of export, the State Committee of Bashkiria for Foreign Economic Relations emphasized.
