Radiy Khabirov visited Kanchurinskoye Underground Gas Storage Department

The Kanchurinskoye Underground Gas Storage Department (UGHG), a subsidiary of Gazprom UGS, was established in 1969 on the basis of the developed Kanchurinskoye gas condensate field. The Kanchurinskoye department injects, stores, and withdraws gas from porous formations of the Kanchurinsko-Musinskoye UGS facility in order to regulate seasonal and peak irregularities in gas consumption and ensure uninterrupted operation of the Bashkortostan gas transmission system. In terms of volume, it is one of the top five similar underground storage facilities in Russia. Today the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, who is on a working trip to Kumertau and the Kuyurgazinsky region, examined its work.
Igor Safonov, General Director of Gazprom UGS, said that the technological basis of the complex consisted of a compressor station with ten gas-pumping units, two gas treatment units, and auxiliary facilities, six gas collection points uniting 167 production wells.
Currently, a large-scale reconstruction of the Kanchurinsko-Musinsky UGS facility is underway, with an increase in the maximum gas injection pressure to 14.7 MPa and the volume of an active gas to 4.73 billion cubic meters after the commissioning of all facilities.
"We see awe-inspiring achievements in terms of modernizing our underground gas storage facility. They will significantly increase the volume of gas accumulated here. This is a great assistance for the republic. The solutions that have been implemented here are really fascinating. This is a modern, future-oriented enterprise that confidently ensures the gas safety of Bashkortostan," said the Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov.
