Bashkiria is among top ten investment regions

According to preliminary estimates, the increase in investment was 9% amid the coronavirus pandemic in Bashkiria in the first half of the year. In total, this is about 124 billion rubles, according to the Ministry of Economic Development of the region.

This positive trend was facilitated, first of all, by the expansion of measures to support investors, the department noted.

It was related, in particular, to subsidizing the costs of servicing investment loans, compensating the exchange rate difference of purchased imported equipment, as well as reducing the threshold criteria for receiving support in the form of construction and reimbursing the costs of engineering communications.

Currently, Bashkiria is one of the ten leading regions in terms of investment. Thus, last year the volume of investments reached 322 billion rubles. This is 13.6% more than in 2018.

In January-March this year, the increase was 18.1%.

In general, a steady increase in investment is noted in 36 territories in the cities and districts of the republic.

At the same time, most of all investments in the second quarter of 2020 fell on Sterlibashevsky, Ermekeyevsky, Burzyansky and Abzelilovsky districts, due to the construction of large industries here. They included the construction of solar power plants, a livestock complex, and a cement plant.

However, a decrease in the volume of investments in fixed assets compared to January-June 2019 was observed in 26 municipal districts and urban districts of Bashkiria. Moreover, for the second year in a row, such a decrease is recorded in five municipalities: Tatyshlinsky, Mishkinsky, Karaidelsky, Ufimsky and Beloretsky districts.
