47 investment projects for 150 billion rubles were suspended during lockdown in Bashkiria

The implementation of 47 investment projects totaling about 150 billion rubles was suspended in Bashkiria in the second quarter of 2020. This is two-thirds of all projects suspended as of July 1. Such data were reported at the Investment Sabantuy (Forum) in the city of Sibay.

The main reason for the suspension was the economic crisis and disruption of the business environment, which arose under the influence of the global pandemic. The situation will change under the influence of the revival of the Russian and world economies, as well as support measures from the authorities.

A decisive moment was the completion in the first half of 2020 of 126 investment projects in 28 municipalities of Bashkiria (25 completed in the first quarter, 101 projects in the second). Their total cost exceeded 16 billion rubles, more than 700 new jobs were created. The leaders in the number of implemented projects were Ufimsky (32), Mechetlinsky (11), and Sharansky (10) districts of the republic.
