PDA residents have invested 3 billion rubles in economy and created 2 thousand jobs in Bashkiria

Bashkiria PDAs have 59 residents who have invested about 3 billion rubles in the economy and created more than 2 thousand jobs. Such data were announced by Ekaterina Klikunova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan, within the framework of the Investment Sabantuy in the city of Sibay. The republic is among the leading regions of the country in the number of priority development areas (PDAs), which are currently created in Bashkiria in the monocities of Kumertau, Belebey, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Neftekamsk.

PDA provides preferences to organizations - residents of PDA in terms of property tax exemption, reduction of income tax, and insurance rates.

A successful example of this approach is the city of Kumertau. Since the Soviet times, the KumAPP helicopter plant played the role of a town-forming enterprise here. The construction of a new oil extraction plant, employing about 500 people, has significantly improved the economic situation. At the end of 2019, the shipment of its products exceeded the indicators of KumAPP by 1.7 times. Over the past few years, 26 residents have been registered in Kumertau PDA, more than a thousand new jobs have appeared.

The monotown of Blagoveshchensk also work actively in this area, where seven residents were registered in the PDA in a short time and five more - this year.
