Second All-Russia Investment Sabantuy "Trans-Urals-2020" opened in Sibay

The Second All-Russia Investment Sabantuy "Trans-Urals-2020" opened in Sibay today. The main point of the business program of the forum will be the plenary session "INNOREGION: Cities Where you Want to Live", which will be moderated by the "Ekho Moskvy" (Echo of Moscow) Editor-In-Chief Alexey Venediktov.

Experts will discuss the creation of mobile and smart cities that meet all the needs of society and respond promptly to the problems of the inner-city environment. A regional rating of the life quality will be presented. Participants will evaluate domestic and international practices in modernizing the urban environment and will tell about the experience of Bashkortostan as a territory of intensive development.

At the Investment Sabantuy, discussions will take place in nine thematic sections, at a meeting on the launch of a national social initiative in Bashkortostan, at a strategic session of heads of cities and regions RB on the investment climate and during the investment hour. 26 agreements are planned for signing (investment agreements, agreements of intent, cooperation agreements).

"Domestic tourism. The Role of Small Towns in the Strategy of the Region" section will bring together a wide audience of representatives of non-profit tourism organizations and the business community of the travel industry, federal and regional officials, well-known experts, public figures, international investors to discuss topical issues related to the development of inbound and domestic tourism in Russian cities and regions.

A separate section will be devoted to the development of mono-towns. This topic is pressing for many participants. In particular, the city of the forum - Sibay - today claims to receive the status of a "mono-town". It bears the informal name "Capital of the Bashkir Trans-Urals". The population of Sibay is only 64 thousand people, and this is perhaps the smallest city in Russia, hosting all-Russian scale forums.

Also, thematic blocks will be devoted to the exchange of sustainable development practices, regional media as tools to increase the investment attractiveness of regions, digital solutions for cities, the Bashkir style, and new formats for stimulating exports.

Representatives of federal and regional government agencies, Russian and foreign businesses, investors, experts, and public figures are invited to participate in the Investment Sabantuy business program.

The speakers will include General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva, Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Alexey Volin, Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF, General Director of the Monotown Development Fund Irina Makieva, Ekho Moskvy Editor-in-Chief Alexey Venediktov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Andrey Nazarov, UN Goodwill Ambassador for Industrial Development UNIDO from Russia Veronika Peshkova, Chairman of the Russian Ecological Society Rashid Ismailov, representatives of foreign companies, the Russian business community, heads of investment committees.

On the second day of the forum - August 20 - stone will be laid at the construction site of a year-round health camp for children with disabilities, and a "Goose and Honey" gastronomic festival will take place.
