Milk production may grow by 3.4% in Bashkiria in 2020

By the end of 2020, the volume of milk production in Bashkiria may increase to 750-760 thousand tons. Compared to last year, this is 3.4% more. The Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said this at a meeting of the Russian Dairy Union.
"Our goal is to get a very good gross milk output: in 2024, we have to receive 1.2 million tons of commercial milk. This year we have to reach the level of 750-760 thousand tons," the Interfax agency quotes the Agrarian Minister.
According to him, industrial milk production is promising in the next 5-7 years, since its production on small farms will be unprofitable, as well as on personal subsidiary plots.
In Bashkortostan, a comprehensive program for the development of the dairy industry provides for an increase in the production of commercial milk by 2.1 times - up to 1.5 million tons by 2030 compared to 2016. The volume of investments in the industry is estimated at 60 billion rubles.
