Five-kilometer road to Kapova Cave will be repaired for 55 million rubles in Bashkiria

The authorities of Bashkiria have allocated 54 million rubles for the construction of the first stage of the road to the main tourist attraction of the region - Kapova cave, or Shulgan-Tash, located in the reserve of the same name in Burzyansky district.
The length of the section from the Starosubkhangulovo - Mrakovo highway to the cave is 4.76 km. This part of the path is the most worn-down. In previous years, 11 km of the road were repaired before the turn, for which 232 million rubles were allocated. Also, part of the road will pass through the reserve. It is assumed that a good road will significantly increase the tourist flow.
A historical and cultural complex "Shulgan-Tash" is being built in the territory near the cave: the value of the contract concluded in September 2018 is 297.4 million rubles. The construction of the complex is scheduled to be completed in November and open in 2021.
Besides, the chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of Bashkiria, Salavat Nafikov, said at a press conference at the Bashinform News Agency that it was planned to lay asphalt in the Kinderlinskaya cave in the Gafuriysky district. At the same time, the increasing accessibility of the caves, and the growing tourist flow in them negatively affect the state of unique natural objects. According to Salavat Nafikov, the republic's authorities are planning to develop and implement regulations for visiting the caves in order to limit and streamline the flow of tourists.
