Public catering turnover fell by quarter in Bashkiria in first half of year

In Bashkiria, the retail trade turnover decreased by 6% (in the Russian Federation on average by 6.5%), catering - by 24%, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency cites data for January-June 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.

The share of online sales grew 3.4 times - 1.5 billion rubles against 490 million rubles in the first half of 2019. In the total turnover, e-commerce took a share of 1.5% against 0.5% in the previous period.

In monetary terms, the trade turnover amounted to 378.9 billion rubles for the first half of the year. The total sum was 931.5 billion rubles for the whole year of 2019.

The population bought food products (including drinks and tobacco) for 195.3 billion rubles - 3% less than in the previous six months.

The trade turnover amounted to 93.8 thousand rubles per person, or 94.2% compared to January-June 2019.

Non-food products were sold for 183.6 billion rubles, or 9.3% less.

Public catering turnover in January-June amounted to 9.5 billion rubles. (75.9% to January-June 2019), per capita - 2.3 thousand rubles (76% to January-June 2019).
