Expert council will be created in Bashkiria to select Alga SEZ residents

In Bashkiria, an expert council will select residents of the Alga special economic zone. The decree, signed by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov, was published on the portal of legal information.

As previously informed, Alga, with a total area of 470 hectares is being created in the territory of the Ishimbaysky and Sterlitamaksky regions. SEZ (Special Economic Zone) is a territory with preferential conditions for entrepreneurs. Residents of such territories have significant tax benefits, up to one hundred percent, and create new industries and jobs in return.

An expert council that selects residents will operate permanently. As follows from the document, the quantitative composition of the council should be at least 13 and no more than 25 people. The expert council will include representatives of federal and republican authorities, as well as public, financial and scientific organizations.

The expert council will evaluate the business plans of potential SEZ residents and make decisions on support or refusal.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia transferred the powers to manage the special economic zone to the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The formation of the SEZ "Alga" creates opportunities for attracting investments, creating new jobs, reducing the migration outflow of the population, as well as expanding the export potential of domestic enterprises. Earlier, seven companies - potential residents announced their intentions to implement their investment projects in the SEZ territory.
