Radiy Khabirov: Bashkir vegetables, fruits and berries should be available at school canteens

Today, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, during his working trip to the Chishminsky district, visited the local fruit and vegetable nursery, discussed plans for the improvement of public areas and held a "Rural Hour" session. The director of the Chishminsky fruit nursery, Ramil Galiullin, said that the agrarians planned to revive the culture of fruit growing in the region and increase production capacity to provide the residents of Bashkortostan with delicious berries and fruits, as well as high-quality planting material.

Thus, an apple orchard has already been laid out on an area of 11.1 hectares. The modern technologies applied here allow getting the maximum yield in a limited area in a short time. By 2034, it is planned to increase the area of intensive and super-intensive gardens to one thousand hectares. Federal and republican subsidies support the implementation of the initiatives.

According to Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, a center of competence is being created at the fruit nursery. The company is already actively cooperating with Bashkir State Agrarian University in terms of selection and creation of a greater variety of products, and students do an internship here.

Radiy Khabirov also visited a strawberry growing area. Ramil Galiullin noted that progressive technologies were used to contribute to high yields. Chishminsky fruit nursery supplies its products to kindergartens and schools. The Head of the Republic supported this practice, having noted that Bashkir vegetables, fruits, and berries must be available in school canteens.

In Chishmy, the Head of Bashkortostan discussed plans to restore a dam at a local pond and further accomplishment of the adjacent territory. The project is designed to solve two goals at once - to create a supply of water to irrigate the territory of the fruit nursery and to form a comfortable public space for the recreation of residents. The concept provides for the arrangement of the embankment, the beach, jogging tracks, walking areas, the installation of children's playgrounds and sports grounds.
