Russians will pay more for gas since August 1

Natural gas prices will rise in Russia from August 1. FAS has registered order on the indexation of the cost of blue fuel. The growth of tariffs for both the population and industry is expected to be around 3%.

According to Interfax, an increase in gas prices was planned back in April 2020. Changes in tariff plans were supposed to take effect since July 1, but the preparation of the order was delayed. Two years ago, a similar situation was observed in the country: then the increase in gas prices came into force on August 21.
