Bashkiria considers project on creating artificial intelligence cluster

On July 16, during the Ufa - Vladivostok teleconference, a project was considered to create a medical engineering center in Bashkiria for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence. The project was discussed on behalf of the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov.

The author of the project is Artur Biktimirov, an expert at the ASI National Technology Initiative Center for Neurotechnologies and VR. He has been working for several years in Vladivostok, although he was born and graduated in Bashkiria.

“This is a very interesting project for the study and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality, neural networks (BCI), big data, IT technologies and electronics at the interface with neurophysiology and medicine. These technologies will be widely developed very shortly and will allow integrating humans and computers, creating a superhuman, printing human organs on a 3D printer for transplantation, and simulating cells and genomes,” Biktimirov said.

According to the researcher, Ufa may become a city where such a medical and engineering cluster can be located, which would work for the whole country.

Leading experts of Bashkir State Medical University and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Vice-Rector for Innovative and Clinical Work of Bashkir State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Ex-Minister of Health RB Anvar Bakirov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Bashkortostan, neurosurgeon of the highest qualification category, head of the High-Tech Neurosurgery Care Center in the Republic of Bashkortostan Shamil Safin and Deputy Head of the Department of Design Activities of the Ministry of Health RB Ivan Afanasyev took part in the discussion.
