Bashkiria received authorities to manage "Alga" SEZ

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia transferred the authority to manage the Alga SEZ to the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The implementation of the cluster approach when deciding on the occupancy of the investment sites of the Alga SEZ will create a multiplier effect to develop the Bashkortostan economy.

The total area of the planned SEZ is about 470 hectares, where 17 residents can potentially be accommodated by the end of 2029.

Earlier, seven companies - potential residents announced their intentions to implement their investment projects in the territory of the SEZ.

One of the investors is planning an investment project, which provides for the production of personal protective equipment for workers equipped with location sensors and health monitoring. These products will make it possible to monitor the effectiveness of production processes and to respond quickly to emergency situations.

The company R&P Ecology-21 plans to launch an enterprise for the processing of oil industry wastes, which will allow returning cleared land to agricultural circulation, obtaining nutritious soils to restore depleted lands, and producing a number of building materials.

During the first three years of the SEZ operation, it is planned to conclude agreements with 10 residents, with supposed 20 billion rubles of investments. The social effect of investment projects is the creation of about 1 thousand new jobs.
