Former shopping center "Europe" can be conversed into cancer center in Ufa

The Ministry of Health of Bashkiria may buy out the former shopping center "Europe" to expand the Republican Oncology Center, which lacks premises.
As the «Ъ» publication reports, at the moment, the authorities of the republic are discussing this idea. The cost of buying and re-profiling the premises is tentatively estimated at 5 billion rubles. Now negotiations are underway with the owner of the premises, Igor Strizhnev.
The buildings of "Europe" are located in the same quarter as the Oncology Center buildings. According to the publication with reference to the Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin, this deal was discussed back in May at a meeting of the Head of the Region, Radiy Khabirov, with the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko. Then the project was preliminarily rated positively. The final decision will be made after the conclusion on the cost of the property and reconstruction.
The government tentatively calculated the costs of the project. The sum amounted to 5.7 billion rubles: 2.2 billion - the purchase of premises with an area of 25 thousand squares, the rest - funds for the conversion of the building.
A diagnostic center is planned to be located in the building of the former shopping center, and a ward building in the administrative building.
