SME Corporation helped to create nearly 70 agricultural cooperatives in regions, including Bashkiria

In April-May this year, the SME Corporation helped to create almost 70 agricultural cooperatives in regions. Thus, their number was the greatest in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Dagestan, Sakha (Yakutia), as well as in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Ulyanovsk Regions, according to the press service of the SME Corporation.

Thus, in April, 31 agricultural cooperatives were established in the regions of the country with the help of the SME Corporation, in May – 38.

Support measures for farmers include special loan, guarantee and leasing products, as well as subsidies and grants from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

In total, since 2018, 323 projects in the field of agricultural cooperation have been funded with the participation of the SME Corporation for a total amount of 8.5 billion rubles.

SME Bank (a subsidiary of SME Corporation) has funded 47 projects in the field of agricultural cooperation for 2 billion rubles since 2018, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan added.

The agrarian support program is being implemented as part of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises,” developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Besides, in 2019 alone, the revenue of agricultural cooperatives created in Bashkiria amounted to 1.2 billion rubles. The regional Ministry of Agriculture expects the profitability of agricultural cooperatives to show good growth this year.
