Production of meat and milk increased in Bashkiria
The production of meat and milk has increased in Bashkiria, statisticians of the republic noted. Compared with January-May 2019, the republic produced 131.2 thousand tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight. This is 15.3 percent more than a year ago.
Milk production in the region also increased to 657 thousand tons, or plus 2.3 percent compared to January-May 2019.
According to Bashkir Statistics Agency, 2,388 kg of milk has been received from every cow by the republic’s agricultural enterprises since the beginning of the year, which is 7.1 percent more than in January-May last year.
On the contrary, egg production decreased in Bashkiria. In the first five months of 2020, 412.1 million eggs were produced in the republic. This is 3.1 percent less than a year, statisticians summarized.
