Industrial production index in Bashkiria exceeded average nationwide indicator - Khabirov

According to the results of the first five months of 2020, the industrial production index in Bashkiria amounted to 99 percent, which is higher than the national average, the region’s Head Radiy Khabirov stated on Monday at a briefing session in the government.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized, “we expected a much more significant fall,” while some sectors of the region’s economy experience some growth.

For example, in agriculture, the growth for January-May of this year amounted to 2.5 percent. Housing commissioning in Bashkiria increased by 3 percent, compared with the same period in 2019.

“We will continue our work. We will gradually overcome this situation,” the Head of the Republic added.
