Investor for livestock waste processing plant is needed in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov instructed the government to convene a working group, which should work out the prospect of creating a plant for livestock waste processing. The problem was discussed at an “Agricultural Hour” session. According to the Veterinary Administration, three such plants operated in the region - in Birsky, Meleuzovsky, Tuymazinsky districts, which processed 20 thousand tons of biowaste per year. They were liquidated in 2004 as unprofitable. Such enterprises processed the bodies of cattle that had died from noncontagious diseases and other animal waste. Pet food is made mainly from such raw materials.

The Meat Union of Bashkiria believes that investors should be interested in it by offering a prepared package of documents with the project of the enterprise, a selected site, with an environmental review.

“This is a state investment order, which implies the participation of a project company with the assistance of the Regional Fund. At the same time, an investor will receive a ready-made business solution, ”said Viktor Freidin, Chairman of the Bashkir Meat Union.
