Ufa topped ranking of millionaire cities on contactless payments

Ufa residents more often than other residents of cities with a population of over one million use contactless payment. In a study of Yandex.Money service specialists, residents of the capital of Bashkiria took first place in terms of the largest payments/bills. Kazan is on a par with Ufa.

"In Ufa, the number of contactless payments by smartphones increased by a quarter for the year, the turnover - by 5%. The average bill was 428 rubles, which is 15% less than a year earlier, the researchers reported. "From January to May of this year, the majority of contactless payments in Ufa (92%) were in the amount of up to 1000 rubles, 7% - from 1001 to 5000 rubles, 1% - from 5001 rubles."

The share of payments by smartphones increased by 48% in Ufa. The leaders in the share of telephone payments were Moscow and Kazan, where these figures reached 54% and 53%, respectively.
